Sterling & Brenda in Sydney in 1935
The next photo was taken by Sterling of friends at Mona Vale beach in 1937. Brenda is on the far right; note the speakers providing the music!

The house at 6 Viret Street Hunters Hill where Brenda lived (with her mother) before her marriage.
Description and an unflattering photo of Sterling from his Record of Service (army) book:

Street photographers were active in Sydney in the 1940s, with women seemingly always slim and elegantly dressed. This is Sterling in his army uniform with his wife Brenda.

Brenda with her brother Norman and son during the war: of her 4 brothers, 2 died during the war. As seen here, Norman was in the airforce and had his leg amputated; he died in 1961.1)

Father and son getting to know each other after the war.
Sterling - probably on his farm in the 1950s.

The highlight of the year: Brenda and Sterling at the Bellingen Agricultural Show with their daughters, c.1955 and (next photo) c.1961
The farm house at Hydes Creek, possibly early 1960s as electricity was connected.

Brenda, Sterling, daughters, dog and cats on the farm, c. early 1960s.
