Maurice family

Nora maintained a close relationship with the Rev. Maurice and his family. Among Nora's books are 4 Volumes of Thomas Carlyle's Critical and Miscellaneous Essays, London, Chapman and Hall, 1842. These volumes were originally given to 'Georgina F. Maurice From her husband Nov. 11 1851', then later given to 'Nora Murray Prior in affectionate remembrance of G.F. Maurice March 1896'. There are also 6 volumes of The Poetical Works of Edmund Spenser (London: Bell and Daldy, 1866) inscribed 'Nora Barton with the dear love of F. & G. Maurice.
