The painting shown here, presumably Thomas Prior, later belonged to Helen Wiessner. The family assumed it was of Thomas Prior but had had no identification.
There is possibly another portrait of Thomas Prior as Rosa Praed left a 'small portrait' of her grandfather in uniform to [Thomas?] Bertram M-P.1) Definitely not the one above which was not 'small'!
