Tom L2 in the RAAF
The following from documents and photos held by his son, are from Tom L2's time in the RAAF during World War II.
Airmen were given double-sided silk 'escape maps', about the size of a large handkerchief or small scarf, to assist them if their plane crashed. Tom L2 kept his one of Europe:
