Mystery Images
This miniature was donated to the Mitchell Library1) by Colin Roderick with the wide-ranging comment that it was of TLM-P - or possibly his father - or uncle … The first possibility is incorrect, and probably the second one too. It is possible it was TLM-P's uncle Lodge but it is clear from Roderick's note that his identification was just a guess. From the hat and other clothes, and that the photo is a daguerreotype, it was probably taken in the 1850s.
The second is a portrait - almost a caricature. Is it of Thomas MP or someone else from the same era? 2)
