More photos of Florette
The first photo is from TLM-P's album.1)
This photo is in a locket - it looks like Florette, but may be one of her sisters or, as boys were traditionally dressed in sailor suits, her brother Thomas Bertram M-P.2)
Photos from Florette's album during World War I. The first includes ones of her and Diana in Cairo 1915.3)
In November 1917, Col. Syd Herring was appointed to a training school on Salisbury Plains, so Florette and Diana were able to join him in England. This is a photo of him during the war. This photo of Florette was published in The Ladies' Field, 16 November 1918, p.304. The magazine described her as a supporter of the British Women's Patriotic League, and as having recently organised an Australian stall at a fund-raising sale.
