====== Lodge Morres Murray Prior and Hervey Morres Murray Prior ======
Lodge Morres M-P, b. 3 April 1797, was Thomas and Catherine M-P’s second son and TLM-P's uncle. He became a Captain in a cavalry regiment, the [[wp>12th_Royal_Lancers]].((TLM-P, notes, Family Bible; Burke; Maximilian Genealogy Master Database 2000)) He was baptised at Rathdowney, and later lived - and died - at 52 Brunswick Square, Brighton on 5 November 1868. He was buried in a churchyard at Hove, Brighton.((‘Questions to be answered by T.L.M-P’, 6pp Memoranda to the Herald Office, Somerset House, London re Burke’s Colonial Gentry.)) TLM-P visited his uncle Lodge's grave there, describing it and that of Lodge's son (6th child as shown below), Herbert de Montmorency M-P.((TLM-P, Diary, 25 June 1882))\\
Lodge married three times:\\

1. in 1819, to **Anna Maria** Brownrigg, the elder daughter of John Brownrigg of county Donegal, and the widow of Colonel Robins of 69th regiment who died in India. She died in 1834 at Hulme, Manchester and was buried there.((‘Questions to be answered by T.L.M-P’, 6pp Memoranda to the Herald Office, Somerset House, London re Burke’s Colonial Gentry.)) According to the website[[https://records.myheritagelibraryedition.com/research/record-1-763539681-6-94431/lodge-morres-murray-prior-in-myheritage-family-trees|My Heritage]], they had two children:\\
 i. Lodge De Montmorency Prior (1820-?) and\\
 ii. John De Montmorency Prior (1822-76). He is probably the Brevet Colonel J. de M. M. Prior, late of the Dragoons, listed in the 1869 army lists along with his brother Adrian.((Based on my old notes when visited the Public Record Office at Kew (London) - needs checking.))\\

2. In October 1836, **Letitia** Unett, the only daughter of Elizabeth and John Wilkes Unett, a solicitor of Coventry and Birmingham. She died in Kensington, London in circa 1850.((‘Questions to be answered by T.L.M-P’, 6pp Memoranda to the Herald Office, Somerset House, London re Burke’s Colonial Gentry.)) An album auctioned in the USA by [[http://AntiquarianAuctions.com|Antiquarian Auctions]] in August 2022 features their youngest son Herbert in the centre of the page and a number of photographs around it. It is a reasonable assumption that it shows baby Herbert with his proud parents, Lodge and Letitia. 

From the date of her predecessor's and her own death, their children were (according to his entry in My Heritage):\\
 iii. Lodge De Montmorency Prior (1838-59);\\
 iv. Albert Murray Prior (1840-?);\\
 v.  Adrian De Montmorency Prior (1840-69). In 1869, the army lists showed Lieutenant Adrian de Montmorency Prior was in the Royal Artillery. An image of him are from the album being auctioned in the USA by Antiquarian Auctions shows him in army uniform; and\\
 vi. Herbert De Moutmorency Prior (1846-73). A photo of Herbert in the album auctioned by Antiquarian Auctions in the USA in August 2022 indicates that, like his brother, he was in the army. \\

3. **Laura**, daughter of Captain King R.N 'who for many years had the packet service at Penzance' and is believed to have died there. It was her second marriage; her first husband was army Captain Dalton of Yorkshire. She died at 14 Johnston Street, Bath on 13 March 1871, and was buried in Bath.((‘Questions to be answered by T.L.M-P’, 6pp Memoranda, answers supplied to Burke for College of Heralds])) It does not appear that there were any children of this marriage. TLM-P had a copy of a notice placed in an unknown newspaper by London solicitors asking to be contacted by anyone with knowledge of her will. They gave her name as 'Laura Murray Prior' with no hyphen and stated she had formerly lived at 53 Brunswick Square, Brighton.((‘Questions to be answered by T.L.M-P’, 6pp Memoranda, answers supplied to Burke for College of Heralds])) Her photo is also in the album auctioned by Antiquarian Auctions. The image of Laura is superimposed inside the surrounds of a British 'penny-black' stamp, with her head replacing that of Queen Victoria. The result is a Laura 'stamp', roughly the same size as the official 'penny-black' stamp.((Adam Langlands, email to J. Godden, 31 July 2022))\\

**Note** re the above album. A representative of Antiquarian Auctions believes "there is a strong argument that the album not only features members of the Murray-Prior family but was also compiled by a member of the family. If this is the case, then it also suggests that whoever that family member was, they moved in pretty exalted circles: the other cdvs of nobility and royalty are, in general, not the usual 'publicity' shots but are the sort of  'private' portraits that would only have been given to friends."((Adam Langlands, email to J.  ====== Hervey Morres M-P ======
 He was baptised at Rathdowney and married Mary Shipden in 1832, believed to be in London. Mary's father was a banker in Deal, Kent. Hervey  was employed by the Ordnance Department (which dealt with military supplies) as a clerk at the Tower of London. He and Mary died at 6 Blanford Square, [Marylebone] London respectively on 14 January 1873 and 12 February 1874; they were both buried at Kensal Green cemetery in London.((‘Questions to be answered by T.L.M-P’, 6pp Memoranda, re Burke's Colonial Gentry))\\
