Francis Morres and Catherine Evans

Frances and Hervey’s only (surviving?) son was Francis Morres. His wife Catherine Evans was the heiress and daughter of Sir William Evans of Kilkcreene, Kilkenny. She was born in 1689 in Kilkenny and died at Castlemorris, Kilkenny, both in Ireland.

They had three sons: Hervey (later first Viscount Mountmorres); (later Sir) William; and Redmond (detailed next). There were possibly daughters too but these, as with children who died young, were frequently overlooked in the patriarchal record.¹⁾
