 +\\ The next photo is from 1952, when Hugh was Medical Superintendent at Crown Street Women's Hospital (Surry Hills, Sydney). He is in the middle of the front row, with Pathologist J. While at Crown Street, Hugh (with Drs Bob Macbeth and Peter Crowe) collaborated with Dr Reg Hamlin (his predecessor as Medical Superintendent) to substantially reduce neonatal mortality after prolapse of the umbilical cord.
