13. 15-9-1855 **Uhr** [my reading is that it is possibly **Ubr**. Angela Woollacott refers to 'Ubi Chinaman' which maybe her reading of this man's name. She also asserts without evidence that those described as Coolies or Cooliemen were Indian[[Angela Woollacott, 'Manly authority, employing non-white labour, and frontier violence 1830s-1860s',//Journal of Australian Colonial History//, 2013, p.39]] //Hawkwood// Station Footnote: Uhr is noted as working for TLM-P from 25 May to 25 August at 12s per week- total wage was £7.16.0, cash and stores account was £5.5.4, leaving Uhr with £2.10.8 for which he was paid £2.10.6 by cheque on the Bank of NSW, with a note that the cheque was two pence too little.
